Oil causes a lot of damages

What I learned from the oil crisis is that creates a lot of effects for example; it has political effects because possible change of law to cover damages from 75 billion to 10 billion., social effect because it deals with stress of oil resulted in increase & alcoholism, economic effect because restaurants will lose money due to fish, and finally environmental effects because animals death is harming ecosystem for example whales, dolphins, and fish. We should start making changes to break our oil dependence; I think that we should find different ways to substitute oil. There’s many ways we can help decrease carbon footprint bring cloth bags to the market so they can recycle them, unplug electronics when we are not using them. From now on I’m going to take cloth bags to the market and I’m going to unplug electronics when I’m not using them. We can motivate others by telling them about the oil shortage and the effects that it can cause. What I also learned was that Obama’s plan was to open vast stretches of U.S coastlines to oil and gas drilling but members of congress is not in support of this plan because the gulf spill is environmental and economic disaster that wreaks havoc for commercial fishing and tourism. I also learned that British Petroleum is one of the largest oil company, BP has to pay for damages. Cleaning a Hurricane disaster takes years but cleaning an oil spill takes decades.

A world without oil will affect me and my community because we depend on oil a lot, we use it in our everyday life for example in diapers, shampoos, cars, shoes etc. My community depend on oil a lot because they use their cars to get to work and the car uses oil, and i personally depend on oil because i use diapers for my baby and without the diapersmy life would be hard because i would have to wash my babys clothes a lot, so i would waste a lot of water and that is bad for the environment. I also depend on oil because my baby uses bottle to drink hes milk and if that wouldnt exit how would he drink hes milk. Something that i learned about oil is that we really depnd so much on oil, and i think that we shouldnt use oil so much because when theres no more oil what are we going to do? We should find differents ways to substitute oil.

Will Obama's plan really be a disaster?

The oil spill has personally affected me because its too much stress in the administration office, there's too much pressure going on. Im just really stressed out. The oil spill caused a lot of effects especially economic and environmental effects for example; seafood restaurants are loosing money due to fish and because people are afraid of eating fish because they think that fish might be contaminated. Animals death is harming the ecosystem for example dolphins and whales are in danger of dying.

We must become the change we want to see

I did find the activity surprising. It was really interesting and results surprised me a lot! Something that I founded interesting is that most of the food and fruit come from different countries. The results impacted me because i didnt thought a lot of my favorite fruit could dissapear. I also learned new wors for example now I know that locavores are a person who eats foods from their local homes. And Frankenfood is any genetically modified plant or animal. I think that it is a good idea that people are thinking of planting their own vegetables and fruits because that will help the environment and they will save money and time because they will just have to go to their back yard and cuts whatever they planted. Eyjafjallajoekull Eruption

Giving up goods and services, especially those we use on a daily basis I think it’s bad because a lot of people depend on them. Some changes I’m prepared to make is that I would be willing to walk.
I am worried of loosing necessities such as food, water and power because those are things that I use everyday, not having water and power will make my life difficult because I won’t be able to a lot of the things I like to do for example I wont be able to watch TV. I’m also worried because food and water are my needs, I them to survive. I think that people are worried about loosing these things because food and water is the most important thing especially if they have little kids because they don’t want them to starve. If layoffs continue to increase people will be loosing things such has water, power and food because they are not going to have the money to pay for their needs.
Right now I’m worrying more of my needs than my wants for example food and water because those are things that I really need in order to survive.
